Covent Garden is a buzzing, touristy destination but still loved by many Londoners for its beautiful piazza, Neal’s Yard courtyard and shops. Many Covent Garden restaurants, from, fine dining or places for grabbing a quick bite, have been around forever and are still going strong. Unlike many touristy spots it is still possible to have a really great meal in Covent Garden, which incidentally has also been centre of London’s vegan and raw food revolution. Instead of running another ‘Best Restaurants in Covent Garden’ feature, here’s our spin on dining out in the area--a round-up of the most plant-forward restaurants in and amongst Covent Garden's backstreets, piazzas and courtyards.
These guys describe themselves as holistic and curious, mouth-watering and fulfilling. We have to agree it’s a pretty accurate description of the vibe here and the tastiness on offer. Treat yourself, and make a pit-stop to try the Forgotten Ecstasy smoothie, wild blackberry cheesecake or our favorite, the wabi sabi kale super salad.
Authentic, seasonal and fresh, Floral by Lima brings new and unheard of ingredients from Peru’s vast biodiversity to London. For the record, we could have that CELERIAC AND RADISH CEVICHE everyday, all day.
London’s first all-avo casual dining concept. It is not just a thing that exists in the Instagram-world. If you can handle an avocado overload head to this pretty cafe in Henrietta St.
This place gets it right. Consistently great food and risk-adverse vibe (no grime music and no challenging staff). The winning concept is Imperial Bombay dining as seen through a Wes Anderson lens. And it’s fun!
Located in our favourite part of Covent Garden, Neal’s Yard, this small cosy cafe specialises in wholesome, grain-based dishes. A simple breakfast concept executed with serene Scandi-perfection. This place gets busy so try to grab a table outside in the sun, when it's out, as it doubles as a great place for people watching too.
This is London’s most talked (and posted) about all-vegan, fast-food eatery. The Veggie Option Team are divided in our opinions and ratings of By Chloe. The menu is expansive and we love that it’s all plant-based, but aren't overly keen on the link food trend. Although, sometimes you just want a burger and some sweet potato fries. So in that sense, By Chloe delivers.
