This is an unlikely review for us – a place that is proudly “all things pork”. In the interests of optionality, we booked a table for a Sunday set-lunch. Beautifully set within Columbia Road’s buzzing Sunday flower market, Brawn chefs did impress with their effort to accommodate our request for no dairy and no meat. Our options were limited, but what we had was great. The feast started with breakfast radishes served with a deliciously balanced olive oil. Non-veggie companions were wowed with smoked cod’s roe, followed by a well-sourced selection of high quality seasonal food. The natural wines are also a Brawn attraction.
Best for lunch or dinner, go as a loving sacrifice for meat-loving friends when you’re in the mood for a trendy foodie Columbia Road experience (at trendy prices). We can’t deny this is a great restaurant for meat, but it’s not the place to go if you’re seeking high-quality plant-based dining. For veggies and vegans, maybe not.
