Bright Restaurant

This is the permanent kitchen we have been anticipating from London's best kept secret...Bright has finally opened in London Fields. William Gleave, one of London’s most gifted young cooks and one of the first visiting chefs at P Franco, is at the helm. He is joined by everybody's good friend Phil Bracey, the brainchild behind P Franco's success. The food is best described as "thoughtful, nourishing food and a commitment to championing Britain’s many artisan producers".

The menu is guided by the seasons and produce is thoughtfully sourced, mainly from local producers. Rich ingredients enable a contemporary mix of Italian and European with a touch of umami. As expected, the wine list is pretty amazing too. A showcase of natural, low-intervention styles from small-scale producers across Europe and the New World are available for our taste buds. Without any doubt, let the Bright team give recommendations as to what to drink.

Two words: Passion and focus! This is simple yet sophisticated cooking at its best. The menu doesn't come across as veggie-friendly and for that we need to knock down a point but for its understanding of plant-based great cooking and commitment to cuisine authenticity Bright deserves a 4 out of 5. We say go for Bright's sustainability ethos and considerate approach to how we should all be dining.
