Hoppers St Christopher’s Place
Oh how we miss Sri Lanka, the sea, the highlands, the people… When escaping to paradise isn’t an option, it’s nice to know London has Hoppers to take us back via Soho or St Christopher’s Place. Here you find Sri Lankan and Tamil Nadu foodie heaven, with veggie offerings of kothu roti and karis. We love the root vegetable one, and recommend the okra and the plantain as well.

The décor and vibe is modern/cosy, dishes are reasonably priced and the menu is clearly defined for vegetarian choosers. Great for a casual dinner with friends of various dietary persuasions. Since it’s walk-ins only, it’s worth putting your name on the list and have a pint while you wait for a taste of that delicious part of the world.
