There are only two types of eateries in City of London; takeaways for time-poor bankers or places specialising in the ubiquitous 'businesses lunch'. It is a rarity to find a cosy and trendy place to eat, which is why we were excited to hear Koya was moving to the City. Located in the City’s new dining destination Bloomberg Arcade, Koya City is just as good as its famed Soho sister and thankfully does not compromise its Japanese minimalist charm by serving udon. Lunching at Koya is hassle free as the menu marks vegan options clearly and staff are very knowledgeable about various dietary requirements. There are a quite a few vegan small plates to try and we highly recommend the chicory salad with miso dressing before diving into your big bowl of udon.
