A modern Italian restaurant with a hipster touch in Hackney. Daily changing specials work as seasonally as possible, reflecting what is truly great that time of the year. Pizza from their wood-fired oven is so delicious that they had to open in a separate location just for pizza deliveries. What we like about Lardo is their simple menu and small vegetarian plates to share. Homemade pastas are exceptionally good and can be prepared vegan, if asked. We have tried the brunch here a few times and can recommend. The food is really good but difficult to explain why people enjoy its al fresco seating beside a busy and noisy road or location underneath a weird residential building.
