British Modern done dim sum-style (on a trolley) just off of Regent Street. Magpie offers a daily changing menu, excellent vegetarian options, and they assure us vegan-particular choices are coming soon. (It will be interesting to see the impact of that on the delicious, yet butter-heavy sauces.) Our waitress was very conscious of every detail of plant-based eating. Many dishes have stayed with us: barbecued cabbage with lime pickle vinaigrette (the show-stopper), celeriac and truffle, and Jerusalem artichoke to name but a few. Risotto with mole verde and barley on wild mushroom is decidedly not boring.
