It’s been a while since we visited Nopi, the Soho restaurant of celebrated chef Yotam Ottolenghi. This is his first restaurant, after successfully establishing Ottolenghi delis across London. Since 2011, and definitely before it has become a staple of London breakfasts, we have been frequents of Nopi for its champion-of-all-shakshukas. You might already be a devotee of Ottolenghi cooking, his books especially Plenty is a must have in many vegetarian kitchens. We are again there for breakfast, meeting friends who are very health conscious. We are lucky to be with a big group and get to order pretty much everything on the menu. We believe the shakshuka here is still the best in town but Nopi has another winner on its menu - scrambled tofu on sourdough with rose harissa and avocado salsa. It doesn’t get any better than this…
