Bistronomy comes to North London! Which in short means we can now get reasonable priced haute cuisine in Stoke Newington. The setting of a former Green Lanes motor garage is undeniably cool, and the attention to menus and interior detail tell you you’re in for a contemporary foodie experience. It has ambition and potential (reflected in the pricing) and our meat-eating friends are big fans. Sadly it fails on the veggie/vegan optionality front. You get the feeling that the Primeur team are a little more concerned with their concept than their customers.
Highly skilled cooking but not vv accommodating. Communal tables are ideal for groups but the cosy interior can become too busy for comfort. Go for a midweek dinner when it’s quiet and the staff won’t ditch you for the cool kids.
