Still buzzing with hype and loud music, award-winning Japanese restaurant Roka is a place to celebrate with extravagance. There is a nod to the veggie/vegan, but nothing specific. We have to accept that sometimes authenticity doesn’t lend itself to optionality. To give you a flavour: Avocado maki rolls come without mayo if you ask nicely, eggplant mirin was yummy yet tiny, and the only vegetarian sushi option was so-so. Still, the presentation is beautiful, the wine and sake list finely-tuned.
