Hackney’s newest sustainable restaurant, located inside the courtyard of creative space Fount London. The Field creates a weekly plant-based menu that focuses on health, sustainability and minimal waste. But it comes with a twist. They introduce Plant+, notably the first of its kind in London, created with an emphasis on embracing vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians and not forgetting carnivores who want to try something new. The entire menu starts vegan, however enthusiastic omnivores can add extra options such as ethically sourced eggs or bacon to sit alongside the house made Harissa Baked Beans. We tried their tasting menu one evening and enjoyed this bold take on vegan fine dining that doesn’t sacrifice flavour or nutrition.
The demand for more plant based dining options has allowed creative minds behind The Field to create a bold dining concept. We praise The Field for its effort to reduce animal products from our diets. It’s a lovely fresh new space and worth a try.
