Ground Floor, Kingly Court, Kingly St, Carnaby, London W1B 5PW, UK
The name, cool interior, and Stoke Newington fan club queuing outside imply this is a destination diner. The food itself is fine, rather than egg-straordinary (sorry!). The other clue in the title is that vegan isn’t a priority. On the plus side, it’s more than avocado on toast. The Jewish-inspired menu offers plenty of vegetarian options, each with a creative spin on the good old plant. Iraqi aubergine pita and ‘manoushi with ajar’ stand out. As a crowdfunding enterprise, congratulations to the team on their latest venture in Carnaby Street. The commitment to local produce also gets a big tick.
Good for vegetarian breakfast, brunch, or healthy hangover cure. Go if you’re in the area and happen to love someone who loves Bloody Marys.
