A modern Australian restaurant that uses seasonal, sustainable produce, inspired by chef/owner Alexis Noble’s travels.
With an ever-changing menu designed to share, guests wander through the inspiration from the Wander team’s recent travels, food memories and delicious experiments. A key element to Wander is the detail, from specially commissioned artwork by Lucia Fraser, to carefully curated Wander Spotify playlists.
Having sanded, stripped and stained each table, painted all the walls and with friend’s artwork on show – this restaurant is an expression of Alexis Noble’s journey, connections and hard work.
Wander’s food is clever, detailed and bold; making it a quintessential casual fine-dining restaurant. The food is naturally on the lighter side and less meat based because that is the way Noble likes to eat but it’s not for a restaurant to push that on to guests. There is always a delicious pasta on the menu for vegans and vegetarians.
They check dietary requirements upon booking, upon confirmation and upon seating so they generally are aware of guest’s dietaries before arrival and can brief, prep and prepare in advance.
Where possible they do not waste. They’ve stopped working with suppliers that use unnecessary packaging. They send back boxes where they can. They have a water filtration machine that reduces the amount of single use bottles, packaging and refrigeration that they use for just water.
