Yardarm
Yardarm is an independent bottle shop/bar/cafe/deli with carefully curated shelves and wine list, making it a nice space to stop for a drink and a snack. Next door is a cafe and pop-up space, where they host brilliant and exciting resident chefs.
Just for full transparency, what brought us to this little neighborhood gem was Henrietta Inman’s residency. Foodies with a love of baking will likely be familiar with Henrietta. We have been a huge fan of her smile and delicious pastry for some time.
Yardarm Cafe is everything you would expect from a cool neighborhood gem; relaxed and welcoming vibe, breakfast that is served until a 2pm, local crowd and great coffee. Lunch starts from 12.30 everyday with seasonal salads, soups, quiches and pies. Our breakfast choice was a Quin-oat and chia porridge served with apples and pears, homemade toasted almond butter, buckwheat, puffed quinoa and camelina seed brittle. One of the most fulfilling breakfasts we had in a long time. A vegan beetroot quiche with a massive side of seasonal greens was reminder of the garden we dream to one day grow.
Henrietta’s food at Yardarm is delicious and we will definitely be returning Leyton regularly.

Henrietta’s food at Yardarm is delicious and we will definitely be returning Leyton regularly. It receives a 4 star from us. But we are certain that with more hot food on the menu and hopefully a permanent site we'd definitely give the cafe a solid 5.
