There is awful lot of Michelin-starred faffing in the French Riviera which frankly doesn’t mean anything to vegetarians. We take a short detour from the blue heat and sight of the super yachts to drive towards Alpes-Maritimes, the quiet Riviera. Tourrettes-sur-Loup was a surprise discovery to be honest, we initially intended to visit the famous Colombe d’or in St Paul – the more touristic medieval town in the area. La Cave has been a better choice that day for many reasons. A small vine bar in a very romantic little town too high up for the tourist coaches to reach.
